There were many people who believed that the Microsoft phone will be a total flop, that it will not have a single chance in a world dominated by Apple, Samsung, and other well-known brands. It seems that they were wrong, as the critics love the smartphones created by Microsoft.

Slate considers it one of the best-looking smartphones on the market, whereas TechCrunch considers it superior to all the Android-based smartphones. Microsoft has been criticized for a very long time for entering the mobile phone business, but it seems that the move was a pretty smart one. The Windows Phone seems to be very popular, at least amongst the critics.

Apple has been the leader in the digital domain, releasing lots of great devices such as the iPhone, the iPad, and so on. In this time, Windows tried to do the same, but it failed to do so, many of its releases being flops.

Axel Roesler, assistant professor for interaction design at the University of Washington in Seattle stated that he is a huge fan of the iPhone, but that he was very surprised by the Windows Phone. One of the first things people notice about it, is the fact that its interface is very different than the one found in the majority of the smartphones. The Windows Phone has certain applications such as Facebook and Twitter directly incorporated in the phone. Despite of these facts, the Windows Phones weren’t very popular. The reason for that is the fact that the majority of the mobile phone carriers do not sell it. They know that the iPhone is popular, so they decided to sell that one, to make sure that they make a profit.

As a result Windows started a collaboration with Nokia, and they will soon release the Lumia 900 phone, which will be sold by AT&T in the United States of America. Nokia is one of the companies which do not make Android smartphones. They will strictly make Windows Phones, and because of that, the phones might be successful. Stephen Elop, the chief executive of Nokia, stated that the company has dedicated all its efforts in making a great Microsoft Phone. It is unknown if the phone will be successful; if the clients will be willing to make the change from the more popular iPhone to the Windows Phone. The ones who do will take a chance, but they might be very impressed by the result.
